During the annual lab accreditation assessment in late April, KJ Scientific Independent Testing Labs (KJ SCI-ITL) moved forward to get certified for all cannabis testing services. Consequently, on May 13, 2021, KJ SCI-ITL completed ISO 17025 accreditation for tests in all matrices of cannabis testing. This testing includes cannabinoids (e.g., THC, THCV, CBD, CBDV, CBG, CBC, and CBN), terpenes, pesticides, metals, residual solvents, and microbiological contaminants i.e., mold and bacteria.
This ISO accreditation, an international standard, meets state regulatory requirements. Further, it assures the safety and health of consumers and protection of the environment. The accreditation confirms a laboratory has high-quality management systems in place and has the ability and competence to provide technically proficient testing and calibration results.
The ISO standard also verifies any procedure used is reliable and fully justified. Therefore, all of the analytical work conducted by KJ Scientific is ensured to be conducted professionally in accordance with all applicable standard laboratory practices using valid methods.
Added, KJ SCI-ITL is an official independent testing lab registered under Texas hemp regulations. It is one of two labs ISO accredited to do all testing required for the hemp plant and hemp and CBD products.
The superior testing of KJ Scientific meets the most rigorous California cannabis mandatory testing regulations.
