Lucky Leaf Expo sponsored this first major trade show in Austin on May 14-15 following the passing of new laws in Texas for hemp and CBD.
In Austin, KJ Scientific Independent Testing Labs (KJ SCI-ITL) exhibited expertise they offer for the required chemical testing of Texas hemp plant and CBD infused products.
KJ SCI-ITL, a woman-owned lab from Georgetown Texas is one of few labs ISO 17025 accredited for All hemp and CBD testing and is Texas Dept. of Agriculture registered. It leads in the hemp industry with expertise in chemical analyses for regulatory and compliance purposes. KJ SCI-ITL offers testing of potency (ex. THC, CBD), metals, pesticides, mycotoxins, residual solvents, terpenes, and microbials.
At their event booth, KJ SCI-ITL sponsored entry for a free cannabinoid potency test, Amazon gift card and KJ SCI-ITL T-Shirt. First prizes were drawn and awarded respectively to Luis Antonio Quinones, Rodney D’Spain @hondohemp and Francis & Bill from Kat.man.do.
The “State of Texas Hemp” discussion was paneled by Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) Commissioner Sid Miller, TDA Industrial Hemp Council Member Lisa Pittman, and Texas Hemp Coalition Executive Director Ilissa Nolan. The panel addressed Texas hemp laws, the Texas Hemp Program and challenges and successes of the hemp industry and its future.
Celebrity Angela Simmons also showcased her CBD skincare line.
KJ Scientific networked with other professionals in the industry and created lasting relationships and collaborations.
